twice as many men as women

twice as many men as women 는 여자보다 남자가 두배.

그러니까 남자가 여자보다 두배 많다는 얘기다.

오늘 글을 읽다 본 구절.

Called sleep apnoea, the condition affects about twice as many men as women.

수면 무호흡증이라 불리는 이 상태는 여자보다 약 2배 많은 남성에게 영향을 줍니다.  

There are twice as many apples as pears. 배보다 사과가 두배나 더 많습니다.

There are two times as many apples as pears.

그러면 열배 많은건.

There are ten times as many apples as pears.  이렇게 ㅋㅋㅋ 하면 되겠다!
