NAPLAN 이란?

나플란이란...

The National Assessment Program - Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN)

호주 전역의  3, 5, 7, 9 학년이 보는 시험 입니다.

시험 내용은

언어 능력 The Literacy test,

- 읽기 Reading and comprehension

- 쓰기 writing (a persuasive text, a narrative text or a recount text) 

- 언어 규칙(철자, 문법, 구두점-문장부호) spelling, grammar and punctuation 

수리능력 The Numeracy Test 입니다.

- the basic number skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division

- knowledge of some fractions and decimals, but also percentages, shapes and measurements

- interpretation of data contained in charts and graphs

취지는 학생의 언어, 수리 능력을 측정하여 그 결과로 더 많은 지원이 필요한 학교에 더 많은 펀딩, 지원을 하기 위함 이라 하는데요.

호주 전역의 학생을 대상으로 하는 언어, 수리 능력 시험이기에...

이 결과로 지역별, 학교별 랭킹이 매겨지게 되는군요. ;;;

About NAPLAN 

The National Assessment Program—Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) tests are conducted in May for all students across Australia in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9. Each year, over one million students nationally sit the NAPLAN tests. All students in the same year level are assessed on the same test items in the assessment domains of reading, writing, language conventions (spelling, grammar and punctuation) and numeracy. NAPLAN data provide parents, schools, governments and the non-government school sectors with important information about whether young Australians are reaching important educational goals. NAPLAN tests are the only Australian assessments that provide nationally comparable data on the performance of students in the vital areas of literacy and numeracy. This gives NAPLAN a unique role in providing robust data to inform and support improvements to teaching and learning practices in Australian schools.
